EPIK Learning Tablet Model ELT0801 16GB. Can the charging port device be replaced? My grandson damaged his tablet charging port and it needs replacing. Where can I purchase the part for the micro port to install? Computer stores say they don’t work on tablets, therefore I need to attempt to replace a new one myself.
Nailah, You could try some local cell phone repair shops as they have to replace that part quite often in cell phones. I could find very little information on your device, I did a good search for a replacement part and also tried to find a disassembly guide with no luck. I did post a couple links for disassembly of a couple tablets that may be similar to yours I hope will help and as far as charge port what you may have to do is when you see the port, you may have to do a search and visually try to match it unless it actually has a # on it to reference. The port may be soldered to the motherboard and will be a hard repair for the inexperienced to fix with out damaging surrounding circuitry.
