Hi all, I have a question about the iPhone EEPROMs. If I’m doing a board swap to repair an iPhone 6S, so I’m swapping the CPU, Baseband RF and NAND. I don’t care about recovering any data, I’m purely interested in repairing the device by swapping the necessary components to a working board. I know this is a difficult process. I’ve heard the CPU EEPROMcan be replaced and therefore I’m not planning to change it or read the data from it, however I’ve heard the Baseband EEPROM can’t be replaced without writing the data from the original EEPROM. Is this correct? the reason I ask is I don’t have the required tool to read/write the EEPROM and unless it needs to be swapped I’d rather not swap it. Thanks in advance for any insight on this topic :)
If you have not got a programmer for the eeprom you will need to transfer it over.
