My PowerBook G4 just can’t turn it on, it stop loading when the apple logo appear. i turn it off by holding down the button. Tried to turn it on again with a OS disc but didn’t work n the disc couldn’t be eject..
Try this: 1- start the PB holding down the 2 keys ->command->s hold the keys until you seen a black screen with with letters 2- type: fsck -fy (there’s a space between k and - 3- wait, the computer will scan the hard drive searching for errors. 4- when you get the text: «The volume “hard disk name” appears to be OK 5- type: reboot Redo #2 until you get the text in #4
In case what lemerise said to do will not work, then first try repairing the system or reinstall the system. Insert the System installation disk and start up holding down the “C” key. On the third screen the pull down menu will appear. Go to Utilities and pull down to Disk Utility. Run the repair. If this fails then do the system reinstall and download and install your software updates

How do I get the disc drive to pop out if I can’t get my powermac G4 to boot up? Only the apple icon stays on grey screen… the keyboard key for opening the disc drive won’t open it. Any other trick?
