Hello, My iphone 6s plus can’t recognize SIM card however all other functions work well by using wifi mode. Apple service center told me that main board is faulty. May I ask your opinion if the main board need to be replaced?
If you have tried several sims, then more than likely it’s the main board. There are services where the sim tray can be removed and a new one can be soldered on, but they probably aren’t too cheap since this service requires someone who is highly skilled.
What is the previous history of the phone? eg stopped working all of a sudden, been dropped, got wet etc. Are you skilled enough to unclip the screen to push on the sim holder?
