The model number is worn off the back of my ipod touch and the model number listed under “about” in my settings menu is not listed as an option under “ID my ipod” on this site. The info it does give me is that it is version 3.1.3 (7E18) and the model number it lists is MC086LL. Also has a serial number of 8K006CBS75J. Any suggestions? I bought it used so I really have no idea other that it is an 8GB. My home button is not working but I can’t try any of the repair ideas offered until I ID it. Thanks for any input you might have!
Check on the Apple site right here and it will help you to identify what you have http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1353 The info I got from those numbers that you gave that it is a 2nd gen iPod touch.
