hp desktop stuck in AVG Scanning and Repairing C: drive at 10% complete
@woodyspex , Paul, In case you want to disable the disk check after it was enabled: Restart your computer (only if the computer is unresponsive during the startup computer scan). There is a 1 second prompt to skip the disk check before it is started. Press the SPACE key repeatedly during the computer bootup to make sure you skip the disk check. Download the following tool: CheckDisk mod. Run the downloaded tool, and then click Continue. Message Work done will be shown shortly. The disk check during computer startup is now disabled. The above info. is from AVG support link below, use it to watch video or to see more instruction/help.. Other things you could try restarting you computer in safe mode, start task manager, and see if you can stop AVG from running there or from safe mode use system restore to an earlier date. Good luck. I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button. https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleVi…
