imac won’t eject dvd have tried all methods, holding mouse down whilst restarting etc. have been told i have to take out screen and remove dvd with pliers. Has anyone done this? how do you remove screen?

Go to Applications–Utilities Launch Terminal.app type drutil eject then press return
you dont have to use pliers theres a tiny hole that releases it on the side use a needle and it will be free when powered down a thin piece of plastic and some two sided tape slide it out popsicle stick too thick give it a try theres some real thin two sided tape staples on sale spring might have got loose or you might have jamed two disk in on accident or lever over shot its stop point and now in limbo so use a disk on a stick should here the lever go back in place when done
