Apps weren’t working, so restarted the tablet but now stuck on the loading screen. tried to do a factory restart but no matter what option i go to, it all says the same thing E:/sbin/mkfs.f2fs failed with status 255 e: format_volume make f2fs failed on /dev/block/mnt1b1k_d4voperation not supported on transport end point E: failed to mount / cache: permission denied /cache recovery/last_locale e: can’t mount /cache/recovery/log can’t open / cache recovery/log permission denied this a brand new rca tablet. got it like 6 days ago. what do i do now? return it?
Based on the errors you are getting, the filesystem on the tablet’s hard drive appears to be corrupt. If the tablet is brand new, then you are in luck because you should be able to refund/exchange it. Please return it soon (hopefully you still have the receipt).
I would say RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN to return it! But 1st call & see if there is one left available (without telling them your returning yours! ask for their name! Write it down) Sometimes there are people who dont want to exchange it for you. But with or sometimes without a reciept you can do this. I purchased a brand new phone 7 weeks ago. 14 day return policy on electronics. Im packing to travel ..Put off adding minutes and personal settings till DAY 9?? By the time I discovered I was sold a damaged? refurbished? tampered with? Phone w/a Custom Rom…16 days later, they refused to return it! I believe the girl working the counter is cloning discontinued phones that are on sale!! I swear. I was there 3 times and each! time! someone else with a sale phone was there having all the same issues as me . THIS IS PROBABLY NOT “YOUR” TABLET’S ISSUE, BUT JUST RETURN IT B4 YOU REGRET IT!! EXPIRED GRACE PERIOD OR NO RECIEPT? & GOT SCREWED? U can still get an exchange. MAYBE. If you used Plastic to buy it, have someone else return it and say they got it for a gift a week ago & WANT AN EXCHANGE! (Your id would show your purchase.) If you paid cash tell them the same yourself. Both times. If you get it home and still think its crap, return it the next day. You may get a gift card at least that way. Im really tired of being burned on devices! I wish I could find out if this custom rom is a joke or for real!
I it were mine I would return it immediately. I will never buy a RCA tablet again. Absolutely no support or system upgrades available. Others mileage might vary.
