I have a iPhone 6plus that was driven over, completely destroyed! There is no throwing a new screen on it. However the internal components seem mostly intact. Can the memory be put into a dummy phone to recover pictures?
joey, not unless you try your logic board out in a new case. You are of course going to run into numerous issues including your touch ID fingerprint scanner unless you can salvage the original button. There is no way to transfer the memory IC’s to a dummy phone.
Difficult to say without seeing it. You potentially could get this back to working, the logic board that is. My advice is to plug it into iTunes, and see what it says, first
Yeah would need to see a picture, but if you have a passcode on your phone, you will not be able to access the data, until you put in the passcode on the phone and trust the computer. If you plug into iTunes and hear the tones that’s it’s connected that would be good. Maybe you could find a repair place in your area to see if they could put on a screen or a broken screen for a few bucks just so you can get your data. If you need some help let me know
You should check your iTunes or iCloud backup first, and then if that doesn’t help, use a data recovery tool to have a try.
It is possible to extract data of your smashed phone, if you have been constantly backing up your iPhone to iCloud, then you can restore your smashed iPhone data from iCloud backup. The same things goes with iTunes backup. If you have kept the backup of your iPhone to iTunes then you can restore data from iTunes backup. However, if you do not have any backup and as you said that the internal components are mostly seems intact, then you can also use third party iPhone Data Recovery software such software are specifically designed to retrieve data from smashed iPhone.
