I just replaced the screen assembly in my iPhone 7 and everything is fine except you cant hear the calls unless its on speaker. I’ve read in here some things to do and try and nothings worked yet. My question is, any reason I can’t use the speaker from the old assembly, it worked fine. Any other suggestions welcome, thanks.
Can Siri hear you? Sometimes the assembly can get damaged while transferring. Check the 4 contacts can make proper contact with the speaker.
If you cannot find the problem you will have to purchase another front camera assembly. If this still doesn’t work let us know.
If I remember apple correctly, there are two separate speakers, one for the speakers, and one for calls on the top of the screen. Now with my Samsung I had a similar issue after changing the screen and I had failed to install it properly. I’m not sure it helps, but is there a chance you missed a step?
Hey all thanks for your help! This led me to changing the speaker from the old assembly, I’m just assuming the speaker on the new assembly was bad. I tried to reseat it no change but the old speaker worked. Thanks!
