Hello there, I was wondering myself if it is possible to upgrade an iPod Touch (no camera) 16gb flash memory. Because it has free space inside released from the camera and other components I thouhgt it would be cool to install it a new flash drive and bypass it with the memory it already has. The idea is to buy the same flash memory (Toshiba THGBX2G7B2JLA01). If possible I would like to upgrade it to at least 128GB (Two modules of 64gb that is). So please, someone expert enough could answer me. Is this possible? Even if I have to Jailbreak it or something. I just want a high capacity iPod Touch. Is it possible?
You have to replace the flash chip. It is not possible to bypass or squeeze anything else into it, it does not work or even fit. Opening up this device is very destructive. you cannot fully restore it to factory quality and the chip is very hard to replace. After all it’s not worth the effort
Is the memory chip on the lines as a SDXC or microSD? Where you could replace 32, 64 or 126 gb with 256gb?
