You would need a 3D monitor to display 3D. There is another form called anaglyph that uses red and blue to make an image that looks 3D when you wear red/blue glasses. There are anaglyph movies, especially from the 1950’s that may have been converted to digital and loaded on DVD. The industry evolves and if there is enough demand for 3D then it will update and improve digital imaging for 3D.
