I’ve got MacBook Pro 13 A1502 2013 with a broken display? Can I replace it with the display from 2014 model? I’ve read that on 15-inch version 2015 will not work properly, but 2014 will. Is the 13-inch model similar to that?

The trick is looking at the model ID, so if we look at these two ID’s MacBookPro11,2 (Intergraded graphics - IG) and MacBookPro11,3 (discreet graphics - DG) These models share the same display assembly. So yes your broken Late 2013 can use the Mid 2014 display assembly.
