Hi, Just taken out a seagate 1TG Hard drive and wondered if I could use it as a external drive, if so what do I need ?

Yes you can use an 3.5" to USB or Thunderbolt enclosure or dock. Some come with screwdrivers, some you need a screwdriver, and some don’t need any tools at all to put it in. Here and here are 2 suggestions.
