Hello, I was wondering if I use an iPod 5th Gen (Video) Logic Board in the iPod Classic. I am buying the Classic with a logic board issue and have a perfectly working 5th gen donor I can use. Can I use it? I am fine with it being the old 5G os too. Please help ASAP!
@jhowell6 nope. Does not fit. Amongst other things the connectors are slightly shifted. Your LCD connector is different and will not work. Also, the Classic Logic board is connected to the mid frame via 2 screws whereas the 5th gen does not have those holes. Clickwheel will not fit either etc.
