I have a working MBP 15” (2012 retina, Model: A1398) with a ruined screen. I have a broken Early 2011 MBP 15” with a working screen. Is it possible to utilize the early 2011 screen in my 2012? This is my first post here, apologies if this is an elementary question. Thank you in advance!

Unfortunately you can’t, A1286 and A1398 are completely different “beasts” with almost nothing in common except for the name and size. There’s really no part of one that can be used in the other.
