Chosen Solution

I have an iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2009. The current Bluetooth LMP version is Ox4. I have problems communicating with my iPhone via bluetooth. Would upgrading the Bluetooth board solve the problem? If so, what kind of Bluetooth board should I buy? Where can I find it? Thanks

Upgrading the internal Bluetooth to a newer version is not easily possible if you are having issues with Bluetooth itself, you could replace the current module with the same model iFixit iMac 21.5" EMC 2308 Bluetooth Module Replacement Guide. You could also look for a USB Bluetooth dongle, however Apple does not support certain bluetooth features with non-standard Bluetooth modules.

Thank you Mr. Eckstein, You are right. Perhaps the best solution is to get a new iMac. Pablo
