Hello everybody, is logic board upgradable for this Macbook? I want to replace it’s original logic board with newer (Macbook Pro 15 late 2013/2014/2015 with 16 gb of ram). Is it possible?
Sadly, thats not possible, while the case is basically the same, the display, SSD and the keyboard/track pad are unique to each model series. You’ll find used 2014 & 2015 systems for sale which is what I would go after.
There was an option for 16gb ram on the MBP 15" retina 2012. I have one. Try to find a used logic board with 16gb ram and sell your 8gb one.
