I want to test my iPhone’s new display that I just bought to see if it is defective. I don’t want to transfer the FaceID module because I don’t want to repeat the process of reassembling the old display. Can I do it?
Yes you can test it without transferring them over, you’ll get a message saying “Face ID can’t be activated on this device” as soon as you install the face ID module and put the phone back together, the message will disappear.
