I’ve had a 80gig 6th gen iPod classic I’ve been using for 4-5 years. About 2 years ago the charging port wore out and after taking it to repair shops as well as apple, I was convinced it was a lost cause. Losing all the music I nolonger have (due to changing computers) as well as alot of backed up data (since I used it as a portable hard drive). I recently came into possession of a 30gig 5th gen iPod classic and was curious is it possible to replace the 30gig hard drive with the 80gig from my old 6th gen?
@chefishmael the 5th gen logicboard does not’ read the 6/7th gen hard drive. You cannot use that drive in that iPod.
