This is a small project I am trying to do here,my question is will the ps4 hardware work outside it case…meaning can I setup the ps4 without its black case around it? my only worry is the touch sensitive buttons on the case will that make a a problem? I don’t get that mechanism
Yes, you can set it up without it’s case. We do that all the time when testing consoles. For the touch buttons you will see large copper pads…these copper pads are where the touch controls connect, so when you want to turn it on just touch the copper pad. One thing to be careful of is airflow. Since the case will be off you’ll want to make sure that the fan is pushing enough air over the cooling coils and fins. You might need to put some type of cover over the bottom of the fan to ensure that it’s pushing the air where it needs to go. I hope this helps.
