So I checked in my broken Thunderbolt Display at the apple store. They said they tried to replace everything (cables, power supply etc.) except the logic board. I didn’t want them to replace the main board, because the repair would cost more than good second hand display. Can I replace the logic board myself? (probably yes) Can I buy a thunderbolt main board anywhere?
Hi, Here is a link to just one supplier of a logic board for your display. Check that the board number matches the one on your board. There may be others that suit you better. Just search for Apple Thunderbolt Display 27" logic board or your display’s logic board number only to get results. Check that you get the correct logic board as there appears to be a lot of variations in the board number for the display.
