I bought an iCloud locked 5c from a friend for $15 (pretty good deal, was planning on using for parts) but now i’m wondering, can i just replace the logic board and use it again? There is probably no way my friend is ever going to remember the password and i was wondering if i could just buy a not iCloud locked logic board and put it in to have a new 5c?
Sure, you could put another 5C logic board but you will have to find one that is not iCloud locked. However, any logic board you buy will probably come with a whole phone. Then you could keep the best parts (best screen, housing etc) and combine them into one device.
Oh I was gonna buy the iPhone 7 with icloud locked ,so I could replace the logic board. But I see its gonna be in no use .
