Chosen Solution
The GPU (ATI Radeon X1600 w/128 MB) in my white iMac Intel Core2Duo (2.16 MHZ) seems to be faulty… Can it be replaced? If it is the case, will it be so expensive that I should instead buy a brand new computer? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Based on photographs from those whom have disassembled the iMac “Core Duo” and White iMac Core 2 Duo models, the video is soldered to the motherboard and cannot be removed after purchase, with the exception of the White iMac “Core 2 Duo” 2.16 24-Inch.
