I would like to replace the broken power jack/charging port on this phone. I know that the part itself is cheap, but wonder if the work is difficult.
Kathleen, follow this guide. the charging port is soldered to the motherboard. Remove the board, unsolder the port and replace it with a new one. Hope this helps, good luck.
You will never get it unsoldered. Don’t bother with trying it.
You can take it to an electronic repair shop. I paid 20.00 to have it replaced to a guy who fixes tv’s.
