Can I replace keyboard from A1260 to A1150 or something newer (touchpad & keyboard - top cover)? I know that battery will work for A1260 and for A1150
If you are looking for all of the pieces that make up the upper case here is what you’ll need: MacBook Pro 15" (Model A1150, A1211, & A1226) Keyboard - P/N 922-7183MacBook Pro 15" (Model A1150) Upper Case - P/N 922-7184MacBook Pro 15" (Model A1226) Upper Case - P/N 922-8036 The upper cases them selves are not quite the same so you really can’t swap them around in case you have a junker. Given the age of this system and the cost of buying the parts here you may want to think if its time to get a newer system (new or used). While I loved my old Santa Rosa (A1226) it was time to retire it two years ago. Many apps and OS just won’t run on this baby and its hardware limitations likewise make it hard to justify using any longer.
Since I do not have these exact two laptops in my possession I cannot say for sure. However, they look close enough that I would suspect a majority of the parts are the same. In short if it fits and plugs in it will work.
