My daughter dropped her Atrix (first release) in the sink full of water. She pulled it out and let it dry. Then she did something dumb she plugged the charger into it!? I do a lot of repairs on various electronics Voicemail systems,PBX systems and key telephone sets. I am somewhat savy wih electronics. I do solder but not on the micro level. Joe Deaton, the first thing that I would do is to disassemble the phone and clean it using [http://ttp://www.ifixit.com/Wiki/Electronics_Water_Damage|this as a ] general guide. Check your logic board for anything “suspicious” replace the battery and see what you really got. Luckily, most of the damage may be confined to the smart battery or the charging circuit.
