I have a 2.4 ghz core 2 duo, white macbook. My “about this mac” tells me that I have 2 cores and only one processor…Can i install a second one to make it faster?
No. Your processor has two cores making it look like two processors to the system board–one processor/two cores. The main course to speed up your computer would be to max the memory and upgrade to a faster hard drive. Good luck.
