I would love to enjoy the smoothness of a force touch trackpad from the 2015 MacBook Pro retina serie, but was wondering if I could eventually consider “upgrading” to this trackpad on my model (a MacBook Pro 13" retina 2014) ? Has anyone tried this before ? Is the connector compatible with the board ? Many thanks for your help !
Nope, not possible. The trackpad and cable are completely different and not compatible, they also deal with different signals and voltages to and from the trackpad. Only way you will get a force trackpad is by buying a 2015+ 13"/15" Pro, or a 12". Nothing special to be honest, just stick with the 2014 for the moment.
