Chosen Solution
Loaned it out, and the borrower upgraded from iOS 6 to 9.3.5. I run Snow Leopard on my home MacPro, and the iPad no longer shows up when I plug it in using USB. My question is, is downgrading the iOS a solution? Sorry, but I am an iPad newbie so plz bear with me. Thanks in advance W. Li

If you don’t mind jailbreaking, you can dual boot into iOS 6 with some hacks, it’s pretty easy to do if you follow a tutorial online.
