I have a inspiron 15 3565 with preinstalled windows 10 home 64 bit , due to its slowness and ram shortage. However I dont want to lose my activated windows, because it costs ive heard 100 dollars to get a new copy, so is there any way i can downgrade with my files intact and with it still activated without buying a new version?

Probably best not to go 32 bit as it’s only going to be slower and limit the performance of the laptop. If the computer came with windows 8 or newer the license key is paired with the motherboard so if you reinstall windows 10 with choose the right edition which is home it’ll reactivate itself when it is connected to the internet after. You can skip entering license key during installation when prompted. Computer running slow are commonly due to two things. Hard drive failing (upgrading to a SSD at least 240GB) will make a night and day difference. Junkware apps / running multiple antiviruses will slow down the system. Disabling background apps will help considerably and also uninstalling unneeded apps will too.

Just upgrade the RAM. It has two slots for up to 16GB.
