my older brother water damaged his macbook pro mid 2010 13" and im trying to fix and upgrade it as far as i can but i wanted to know because of the similar sizes and and parts if it would be possible or even worth it to put stuff like a 2012 logicboard and basically new everthing like new ram,ssd,battery and display or would my time be better spent to just get a new windows laptop
Nope, you can’t change everything with a newer model…connectors from the screen assembly won’t fit the ones on newer i5/i7 logic boards. You’ll have to stick to Core 2 duo boards from mid 2010 or earlier.
