I have a cracked screen and home button so I’m wondering if it’s fine for me to replace them without encountering problems with parts not working.PS: I know that if I replace the home button the touch id won’t work but I just want the controls to work.
hello Shayan, no, if you replace the button from another phone, it will not respond to touch. Other solution would be to replace the Home button with an alternative one (clickable - as in the 6-6s models) - available at good parts stores or Chinese kind of eBay for literally a few dollars ($6-12 )
Controls won’t work either. Home button is irreparable starting from iPhone 7. There are substitutes, but that is like a modification, not repair.
