Hello I have two questions 1-If I want to put one OWC Aura Pro X SSD / 1 TB internally on my MBP Mid 2014 , how to format it before install OS and all my files on it ? 2- can I take one OWC Aura Pro X SSD / 1 TB and put it on OWC Envoy Pro External SSD Enclosure (Mid 2013 to Mid 2015 Macs) for use it as an external ssd on my MBP Mid 2014 thanks in advance jaime
Just plug it in externally, use disk utilities from the original disk to format it and then install a system on it. Now use Migration Assistant to move your Apps and user data. The format you use will depend on the operating system you intend to use. APSF if Mojave or High Sierra; GUID if using a lower system. Boot from the new drive externally by holding down the Option key and select it. If it is running fine you can now exchange it for the original internal drive and use the old drive in the enclosure.
