Hello there, The keyboard of my macbook air 13 Mid 2012 has died, I’m trying to find out if I could use a Topcase from later Models, such as 2013, 2014 to pair with the Macbook Air Mid 2012? What do you think? Thanks heaps in advance. sg

How about just replacing the keyboard sub assembly alone, follow this IFIXIT guide to get to it: MacBook Air 13" Mid 2012 Upper Case Replacement. The hardest part is pulling out the battery. Use some ethanol to loosen the adhesive and carefully slide a plastic spatula under it to lift it out.
