I have seen that the cooling pads are not soldered to the board, so can I upgrade my processor and GPU ?
Hi @thunderstriker , Short answer is no. They are both hard mounted on the systemboard. Here’s the hardware maintenance manual for the laptop. Go to p.77 Item #7 to see all the different CPUs available on the different systemboards, i.e. they’re tied to the systemboard. The only thing to do to improve performance is to replace the HDD with an SSD and to increase the amount of installed ram. The manual shows how to do this.
