@ulees I want to put a new graphics card in this and I’m not sure what graphics card will work. So does it matter what graphics card I put in it? Will any graphics card work? It currently has its original card installed and I’d like to put a MSI GeForce GT 730 2GB 64bit GDDR5 in it. I know that it’s PCIE 2.0 but what I’ve found is that it will work in PCIE 1.x. @jayeff here are some photos of my graphics card:
Hi @paperboypaddy , It may not work properly. The specifications for the card say that it requires that the PC has a minimum system power supply of 300W. According to the specifications for the Dell GX620, the only variant that qualifies (just) is the Mini tower model @ 305W. All the others are <300W
Yes, it is backward compatible.
Yeah, should work just fine, but be mindful of the card’s power requirements and that it will physically fit in the case.
Looks like it is yes, although not with full capabilities. I really recommend upgrading your motherboard as this PC is probably held back by its CPU and motherboard motherboard limits the RAM to 4GB and 533 MHz https://www.cnet.com/products/dell-optip…
