Chosen Solution

I dropped my go pro off a coffee table onto a tile floor while it was recording and fell at most 2 feet, it shut off and wouldn’t power back on. I tried new batteries (all which work on my other GoPro Hero 5) and would not power on. It does power on when I have it plugged in with the USB cord, but turns off immediately after I unplug it. I’m not particularly tech savvy but I assume the drop knocked something loose in the battery housing? Any help would be greatly appreciated. It’s about 2 weeks old so it’s a little frustrating. Thanks, Lee

Sounds like the pins for the connector may be damaged or not connecting properly with the battery, honestly the only fix is a teardown and double checking the pins. Although I suppose you can check with a multimeter while the power cable is plugged in and touch the appropriate pins to see if the pins are allowing current to flow, if not then you may need to re-solder the pins onto the board.
