my roku onn tv came in contact with water and the tv still turns on and works its just the screen is dark it doesnt show anything and when i use the buttons on my remote it still functions but the screen is dark,what do i do ?
@jimear you did not tell us if you have sound. If so, in a darkened room and with the TV on and possibly at a channel that has sound, shine a flashlight beam at an angle against the screen. See if you can make out any shapes etc. If so, it is your backlight that has failed. Ultimately, the next step would be to (unplug your TV of course) remove the back cover. Then take a look at the boards. The power board is the one that supplies the voltages to the backlight and that is what lights up your screen. We would need to see your boards, so post some good pictures of those with your QUESTION. The possibilities here are failed backlights, failed power supply (backlight voltages) Failed main board (not sending the BL_On signal). You will need a multimeter to check those things out. It is not very complicated and with a bit of guidance, I am certain you can determine what has failed. Adding images to an existing question
