my macbook pro 17 early 2011 does not recognize wifi card. i have changed wifi card and says the same. because i have a macbook pro 13 late 2011, i have test the wifi board on both mac, and only works on mbp 13. but i have changed the cable from wifi card to the main board card from the mbp13 to mbp 17, and then works. so, i can see that what does not work from the mbp17 is the cable, not the wifi card. is it possible to replace it? Actualización (05/03/18) that’s the cable that does not work. does ifixit sell this product?

Here’s the IFIXIT guide to gain access to the AirPort board: MacBook Pro 17" Unibody AirPort Board Replacement. Can you identify which cable you damaged? You may want to download this app from the App Store: WiFi Explorer I found it quite useful if the issue is more of a WiFi connection issue. Keep in mind your two systems support very different versions of WiFi which could be your real issue here as the router AP may not allow your older 17" MacBook Pro access. Which can be corrected by altering the routers settings. Update (03/05/2018) OK so your real issue is your 13" MacBook has a problem not your 17" system.
