Hi there. I have a vizio E470-A0 flat screen tv. I tested the remote and see the light flashing thru my cell phone camera. But it doesn’t turn on my tv. I have to do it manually and the volume also has to be done manually. I can change the channels using cable box remote thru the cable box . Should I change the IR sensor. And if yes, what is the item #?

Hi @jellybean124 You could try changing the IR sensor board as it would be the next thing to try. Find the full model number of your TV and then check if it is shown in the compatible TV list in this link. If it isn’t, locate the IR board in the TV (should be behind the “window” in the front bezel) and find the board number on it (it may look something similar to this - 0171-1671-1023 IR) and then search online using the board number only to find suppliers of the part.
