Hi, I’m repairing an iPod 3rd Gen that came to me with a broken screen. The touch aspect didn’t work. After replacing the screen/digitizer, the touch aspect still doesn’t work. I’ve double and triple-checked the cable and am pretty sure I have it in right. I have also tried hard resetting, restoring, multiple times. Any help? Thanks in advance.
If the touch screen doesn’t work, then either the digitizer is broken, or the connection is bad, or the logic board is broken. If you’ve already tried replacing the digitizer, then disconnect the cable and examine the connector on the logic board with magnification, and see if you see anything you can fix. If not, then you’ll have to replace the logic board.
