Replacing my 70-year old mother’s T-800 battery, I manage to pull (most of) the ribbon cable connector off of the board. The cable is just fine. This thing is 5 years old and obsolete and if it were up to me, I’d buy her a new one. She is extremely attached to it. I feel absolutely horrible. Any suggestions are extremely appreciated. I can solder basic things, but this seems to be beyond me. In the alternative, does anyone know how to get the data off of this thing without a screen?

@cataylor for your files etc. try what was suggested by @propman For the actual repair you are going to need to find the right connector and it will definitely need to be replaced. So you need to find somebody who does board level repairs. A lot of times you can find local people for as long as you remove the board and have the parts. If not them try to contact people like @refectio who specializes with board level repairs. Samsung part number for the connector is 3708-003131 and it is available at places like this and many others.
