Hello there I dropped my iPhone 5s and now half the screen has white thick lines going through it, I can’t press over it, I can only use the right side of the screen. What should I buy to fix it? There must be a problem with LCD? Screen is not cracked though.

Make sure your first connector you press down dosent look like this slightly bent in pic 1

If it does then you will have to bend it to look like this in pic 2

Hi The problem could be as simple as either rebooting the iPhone or opening the iPhone and reconnecting both the LCD and digitizer connectors since in some situations it can become loose after dropping the phone. You will need a pentalobe screwdriver, #00 philips screwdriver, plastic spudger, and a suction cup (or iSlack tool) to open the iPhone and diagnose the problem. There are guides on here for the 5S that will greatly assist you with opening the iPhone. Open up the iPhone, being careful with the touch id sensor flex cable, disconnect the battery, and then remove the metal shield that covers the screen connectors and take a look at the connectors. Remove and reconnect them and see if that solved the problem. Lemme know if you need help or more info. Best of luck.

While albiejames is correct. I normally see white lines, when using a bad part, or when there’s connection issues, with the digitizer cable and socket. i need help

I dropped my phone about a month ago, and cracked the whole screen. Except for the part where my whole screen was cracked, it was working fine. Then I dropped it again and a few pieces of glass fell out of the top right corner. White lines developed and the right side of the screen wasn’t working. The white lines are gone now, but the whole right side doesn’t work. I can’t get into it because part of my password requires a number on the right side. Help!

There are no cracks at all just the left side of my screen wont work when i press down or even a little

HELP MEH!!!!! I dropped my phone multiple times and now the screen doesn’t work! I turn it on and can only open my phone with my touch ID because it takes about 10 seconds for the screen to somewhat work. Once I get into my phone, the right side of my phone slowly turns black, but continues to slowly work somewhat. I click an app and what ever my screen was last on, stays on the right side.
