My phone fell on the floor, and it probably hit a sharp object because now theres a small tiny circular crack at the edge near the bottom. The middle of the screen stopped responding to my touch, but the top and bottom were still working. The screen has no developed a black spot near the crack, and the middle of the screen is working again. I don’t really mind staying with this black spot as its really tiny and at the edge of the screen, but how fast will it spread and will it be bad for my phone to stay a while with it like this until i get the funds to fix it.
Hi Susan, Samsung screens tend to slowly degrade over time after impact damage. If your screen follows this trend, it will become totally unusable within the next 24 hours (good time to check if your data is backed-up). If you are lucky, the damage will stay exactly the same as it is now, but the phone is extremely sensitive to additional damage. Try to be extra careful with it until you are able to do the screen repair.
