I was replacing the screen myself and was tugging a little too hard on one of the two ribbon cables. The cable i ripped was part of the LCD screen i believe. It was a screen i purchased off ebay (30$) it looks to be of good quality. The repair process was going so smoothly until the ribon cable wouldnt reach the motherboard correctly….thats when i snapped the cable! I’m extremly fustrated and phoneless. I wanted some tips on what to do or what i can do at this point? I might purchase the screen again and retry?
we can try only. open the iphone again . remove the lcd panel from the iphone. donot put the lcd back inside. just put the logic board inside and attach the lcd externally. if screen comes with apple then put back inside the bezel properly. during inserting the ribbon just pull the long ribbon of touch to get to logic board after. then put back the parts inside and check it will may work and save your money .
