My Macbook Pro has a broken logic board, the screen is fine. I have a desktop now, but my monitor is terrible compared to my broken MBP’s screen. Is there anyway I can use the MBP’s screen as my monitor? I can solder and don’t mind taking it all apart, but I’m a mechanic not really understanding all the circuit boards and stuff so all details/parts I’d need greatly appreciated. If it’s possible I’m happy to risk/document it for others to copy. Many thanks, Jay.

Jay Brenals, there is a pretty good possibility that it can be done. I have now utilized 3 LCD panels from various computer and have utilized them as individual monitors. It is a lot of tinkering, fun and frustrating at the same time. Also, it can cost a bit of money to get it done. If you are interested and willing to spend time and $ lets start off by giving us the part number or manufacturer number of the panel. I am pretty sure that you will be dealing with a LED backlit panel, which makes it even more interesting:-)
