I want to replace the front glass on my Galaxy S III. Is there a guide for doing this? I found a new front glass on line. The repair appears to involve using a heat gun and looks complicated. Thanks, John

John, here is my answer to a very similar question “The glass is fused to the display, and the display to the Galaxy S III’s frame. These are most certainly very difficult to separate. You are more likely to break the LCD as well by even trying. Even if you could do it successfully, you will still have to find a way to “glue” them back together. I don’t think there are any cheap options at this time.” Check on here for more information.

It’s really not easy to just replace the glass lens since the glass lens is glued on the screen, which means it’s difficult to separate it from the screen. You’d better repalce the whole screen or go to the repair shop to replace the glass lens.

i have seperated the glass from the lcd twice. the first time i screwed up the second time was perfect. so yes it can be done but its not so easy.
