Hi! I got a Component on a logic board 820-2915 that is broken. Why it broke is beyond my knowledge tho. The component that is broken is 8409 1VA (that’s what the text on it says) and I need help to find if it is possible to buy that kind of component of the shelf or if I need a donor board.
(it’s the scratched one) Better overview picture as requested The broken IC above the fuse is 8904c-f if that helps to localise where I am
Much better! Here’s what I found! A tight image of the Q9425 SI8409DB which is a Vishay MOSFET
And here’s a schematic view of the area
You’ll need a hot air rework station with a small nozzle. I ended up making my own nozzle as most are just to big (something like 3/4” or smaller) But before you assume the MOSFET is bad check the voltages using the two images to work out what each pin should be. Here’s the component spec sheet P-Channel 30 V (D-S) MOSFET
