Hey guys, while opening the lower case of my MacBook Pro 15 2017 TouchBar, I’ve possibly broke this component from the right side of the board (basically below the TouchID side of the mac).

It didn’t fully detach, but it did bend and I am not sure wether the electrical connection is damaged. I managed to straighten it back in place and I added a small drop of superglue on the side to reinforce it so it doesn’t bend again. The Mac is all fine, Thunderbolts work and can’t see any major problem, I am just worried it could be a critical component and may show problems in the future. Other than cleaning those dirty fans, should I worry about this unknown component?

That is a stand off, it’s to protect the pressure from the the bottom cover from pressing on the shielded area. You’ll also find one between the fans as well.

Hi If you can give me some close up photos of the component I can see if it’s good or not As for the component if you can find a code that looks something like this 820-xxxx-xxxx(x means random numbers)on the board I can find out what it does and if it’s important Hopefully this helps Thanks:-)
